

Jesse was a retired Army Veteran of WWII serving our country as a MP, Sharp Shooter of the M1 Garand. Jesse later worked in shipping and receiving at Norton Air Force Base, retiring in 1981. He loved boxing and competed as an amateur at many Inland Empire and Los Angeles based boxing events. Above all, he was a loving widow to Velma Rey, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Also, Jesse lived a full life as a devoted member to the St. Bernardine Catholic Church in San Bernardino, CA, ultimately passing away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 93.
Jesse had two deceased sisters: Jennie Alvarez and Julia Potts.

Grandfather to: Gregory Jr., Jason, Summer, Adam, Tommy, Anthony, Karyn, Missy, Monique, Markie Alvarez; Allen, April, Davin, and Jessica Reyna; Julie Estrada and Candice McDonald
Great Grandfather to: Gregory III, Alexander, Mia, Ashley, Katy, and Kirsten Alvarez. Jade Sirisute, Vivienne Garcia, Adrian Pacheco, Graci and Christopher Rodriguez, Jesse and Marisa Jimenez, Eric Alvarez, Anthony, Steven, Jaxon, and Aiden Williams, Cameron, Chance, Macklen, Asher, Ocean, and Nicole Reyna, Matthew, Brandy, Ceira, and Cheyenne Estrada, Bobby and Anthony Vasquez, and Mattie and Gavin McDonald.
Viewing will take place at Valley View Chapel at Montecito Memorial Chapel Monday, August 5th, 2014 from 4-8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, August 6th at 1:00 p.m. at Saint Bernardine’s Catholic Church, 531 N.
