

Jesus Patrick Bowen was born on December 25, 1966 in Los Angeles, California to Delphine Marie Jacobs and James Bowen. Jesus attended 99th Street School and later transferred to Gompers. Jesus was promoted to Markham Junior High and graduated to attend Locke High. However, he successfully graduated from Mary B. Perry High School in Ventura California.
Jesus accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Watts California, under Rev. Haynes. Jesus was later inspired to become an Ordained Minister and took theological courses where he eventually received a certificate for the courses he completed.
Jesus was considered to be a, “Jack Of All Trades” for instance he was a self-published author of five books with a sixth book in the progress of being published. Jesus was a visionary entrepreneur and truly enjoyed buying and selling trade items with an insatiable passion for landscaping and breeding exotic animals and sold some of his favorite creations. Jesus was a motivational speaker to troubled youth in the community and was fluent in Spanish and also learned to read and write Arabic. Jesus was proud that he could communicate and befriend people of all walks of life. He was definitely considered a leader to many in his community.
Jesus was employed with the Veterans’ Administration Hospital in Redlands California and the Veterans Administration’s National Cemetery. In addition, he worked in the Construction field for Labor Union 783, and also did some jobs in carpentry and upholstery.
Jesus was preceded in death by both parents, Delphine Jacobs and James Bowen; Grandparents Benny and Deanna Jacobs, Grandmother Annie Johnson, Great-Grandmother Mattie Wimberly; Sister Antonia Jackson, Uncle Melvin, Sandor, and Cousin Howard.
Jesus leaves to cherish his memory Margie Bowen his wife of thirty years, his sons Kilo, Jesus, Jr. and Marquis. Brother Emual, Sisters Petra and Naekia, God-daughter Stephanique, Grandchildren Jaiden Faith, Noah Ethan, Christian, Brittany, Anthony and Hollie; Great-grand children Connor, Riley, Layla and Teagan; Uncle Jonathan and Aunt Joslyn, along with a host of Nieces, Nephews and Cousins; his in-laws Toni, Chandra and Vernon; a host of extended Bowen family members in Blythe California and a host of close loved ones including his cherished childhood friends and family.
