With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Born in Jalisco, Mexico, and passing away in San Bernardino, California, he lived a life filled with love, faith, strength, and devotion to his family.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Esperanza, with whom he would have celebrated 25 beautiful years of marriage on June 2, 2026. He is also survived by his cherished children, Beyonce, Jesse, and Miguel, and his beloved grandchildren, Ivette and Isaiah, who brought him endless joy and pride.
A man of determination and perseverance, he believed deeply in leading by example. In 2012, despite the many challenges he faced, he returned to adult school and proudly earned his GED to show his children that with faith and hard work, anything is possible. His strength inspired everyone around him.
He was known for his fun-loving spirit, intelligence, and warm heart. Wherever he went, he brought laughter, unity, and light into the room. He was truly the life of the party — always ready to dance, sing, laugh, and make memories with those he loved. Even through illness, he never allowed hardship to take away his joy.
For 19 years, he courageously battled kidney disease and endured dialysis far longer than most. He often said he prayed to God for the chance to live long enough to watch his children grow, and through God’s grace, he was able to see that prayer fulfilled. His love for his family gave him the strength to continue fighting every day.
His faith in Jehovah was a guiding force throughout his life. He studied the Bible faithfully and had made the heartfelt decision to dedicate his life to Jehovah by becoming baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He had planned to be baptized this Saturday. Though his plans changed, those who knew him take comfort in knowing that Jehovah knew his heart and that he remained faithful until the very end. Like Job, whose example strengthened him throughout life’s trials, he remained steadfast in faith despite every challenge he faced.
His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever celebrated for the joy, strength, faith, and unconditional love he gave to so many.
Services will be held on May 28, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Cypress Chapel at Montecito Memorial Park and Mortuary.
