Joseph "Joe" Montes, 97 years old of Colton, California, passed away on Monday, February 23,2015 at Kaiser Hospital, Fontana. He was born at home on January 21, 1918 in Beaumont, California to Rosaldo and Isabel Montes. He is preceded in death by his wife, Katy and is survived by his children, Betty Chavez (Fred), Evelyn Quiroz (Thomas), Joe Montes, Willie Montes (Wilma), David Lopez, Jerry Hernandez (Suzie) and Tom Hernandez (Linda). Also his beloved 24 grandchildren, 74 great grandchildren and 42 great great grandchildren.
Joe worked for Kaiser Steel Fontana, as a Larry Operator for more then 34 years.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2015, 1 p.m., at Montecito Valley View Chapel, followed by burial at Montecito Memorial Park, both at 3520 E. Washington St., Colton, California.
Joe will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
