

John H. Bunn (Jack) was born April 28, 1931 to Byron Mead Bunn and Lenna Mae Haack. He was the third and youngest child, following Robert Eugene and Mary Ann. They were born on a farm north of Blair, Nebraska that had been in the Bunn family for 85 years.
He enjoyed boating, ice skating, fishing and picnics on the farm.
Jack attended Blair Public Schools through high school where he graduated in 1948. He attended the University of Nebraska from September of 1948 to 1950. Jack went on to receive a diploma from the Radio Engineering Institute in Omaha.
He joined the United States Air Force in 1951 and was honorably discharged at the end of his service.
He married Betty Louise Long on March 22, 1957 at the First Methodist Church in Blair, Nebraska
Jack went to work for Collins Radio who supplied communication equipment for the early Apollo missions to the moon. This took Jack and Betty to Texas where their three children were born. John Clayton 1959, Robert Benjamin 1962 and Sharon Renee 1963.
Jack loved to take his kids motorcycle riding and they grew a fondness for it that was passed on to their kids.
In the 1970's the family moved to California. Jack opened a Big 'O' Tire Store. That didn't seem to be his calling and he went back to electronics.
Jack eventually moved to Grand Terrace. He truly enjoyed technology, from operating a ham radio to teaching himself to use and program a home computer. He co-authored a joke book with a friend, and searched high and low to write our family tree.
First and foremost Jack loved his family. His love and support of his children was boundless. He adored his sister Mary Ann, her husband Don, Nephew Rob, niece Kristen, his 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren have and will benefit from his legacy and love.
