

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jorge Hernandez-Canales. Jorge is a beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather who transitioned into his next life at the age of 64. Jorge was born to live life to the fullest. Jorge embraced every moment with an adventurous spirit that inspired all who knew him.
A man of boundless energy and enthusiasm, Jorge was passionate about extreme sports and found joy in the thrill of the outdoors. Whether it was hiking, rock climbing, kayaking, bicycling or taking on any challenging adventure, he lived every day with courage and a sense of wonder and adventure.
Music was another cornerstone of his life. From Classic Rock to Techno music, Rock en Espanol to Reggae, he found a connection in every note and rhythm. His love for music was contagious, and he often went to music festivals, concerts and his epic yearly trips to Burning Man.
Above all, Jorge was a beacon of joy and laughter. His infectious smile and positive outlook made him the life of every gathering. He loved joking around and making people laugh. He cherished his family deeply and was always there to support, love, and uplift them. His presence will be profoundly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Jorge leaves behind a legacy of love, adventure, and music. He is survived by his loving wife Vania of 45 years, his 2 daughters, Vania Elisa and Lilian Dayana, his son-in-law Adrian, and his one and only Grandson, Jorge aka “Georgie” and a host of extended family and friends who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.
A celebration of Jorge 's life will be held on Friday, August 2nd, 2024, from 4:30-8:00pm at Montecito Memorial Park and Mortuary.
May he rest in peace and continue his adventures in the beyond.
