

She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend who cherished spending time with her family and friends. She is predeceased by her husband Joel, son Rick, and daughter Lori. She is survived by four daughters, Joeli Clark, Melody Thornton, Robin Crouch and Kristy Buelna. She also leaves behind six grandchildren: Gordon Kordyak, Joel Kordyak, Branden Bergen, Melissa Thornton, Laken Lynch and Westin Lynch, and three great grandchildren: Jackson, Cole and Gordon and many dear friends.
Throughout her life, Joyce was a bright spot within her community. She belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star a part of the Masonic Fraternity. She served as a Mother's Advisor to the International Order of Rainbow Girls (Rialto chapter) for many years. She also worked as a teacher's aid in the Rialto Unified School District. She also worked at Tot Stop Preschool. Her love of family and children was a constant in everything she did. She loved hosting parties for friends, attending every extracurricular activity for her grandchildren that she could fit into her schedule and singing and playing piano.
When they retired and moved to Palm Desert, both Joyce and Joel became active at the Community Church of Joy. They did everything from bringing after service refreshments to hosting other church members in their home for holidays.
Burial services will be held on Saturday, February 17 at 10:30 am at Montecito Memorial Park and Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her husband.
