I can’t believe that has been a year since Kevin Morales Avena passed away , it felt like it just happened the grief and the sorrow sadness still remains and will never go away I will not have any healing at all till I see my son .❤️❤️❤️

Our lives was shattered with our sons passing , no time of the day that we don’t miss you, Rest in Peace my Son .We Love You for Always and Forever .

It was today I found out my good friend Kevin was gone! I’m saddened by this news Kevin was such a great friend and a definitely someone to depend on he was so caring and would literally make you smile. He was such a sweetheart you will truly be missed Kevin ! 

Kevin your 30 years + of your life will be forever in my mind heart and soul. I thank God for having you my son and enjoyed those time of family gatherings vacations and so many fun memories that will be forever treasured for the  rest of my life till I see you soon my son  ❤️❤️❤️

Kevin, there is so much I want to say. First and foremost, you were my bestfriend and always will be. You were the most selfless and caring person I know. You’re the kind of friend who noticed all the little details and made sure to make them count and I’ll never forget that. You were always there and loved me endlessly even flawed and I will never have a friend like you again. I will forever cherish every memory and shared moment with you, and will forever wish we had more. 

I have endless memories and adventures with Kevin. But one of my favorite things about our friendship was the endless nicknames. When I was little I always thought nicknames were so cool and always wondered what mine would be. I never had any nicknames stick until I met Kevin. I will always and forever be Kyky, Kyky bear, Bubbles, Twig, Gwen Stacey, and my personal favorite the Alice to his wonderland. 

Kevin would always ask me “Any interesting or memorable dreams lately?” and Kevin the only dream I’m waiting for now is any dream with you in it. 

I love you forever, and I am so grateful I got to spend the time I did with you. 

To everyone that knows Kevin and those that don’t, 
Kevin was an extremely kind and loving person. My first interaction with Kevin was at Olive Garden and he invited me to go to a concert with him and his friends because I had no one to go with. That was the best night ever. We both didn’t know all the words to the songs but we were screaming at the top of our lungs anyway. It was perfect. I’ll never forget that moment. And all the others we shared.  
His love of music, his Jurassic Jeep, his contagious laugh and his ability to find joy in the small things will be cherished forever. I love you Kev always.

Kevin, I hope you know you were one of the coolest cats I ever met. Working with you at Olive Garden for 6 years was an absolute pleasure. I’m going to miss working a busy Sunday night & after we closed, we would convince one another to hit up Fellas. 😂  

I have so many memories with you and for that I will always be grateful. 🫶🏻 1. One of my fav memories, is when one night me and Nicole wanted to join you & others at the Green room in Pomona. However, it was already 1:30 am and they couldn’t let us in. So we decided to go next door to 340 Nightclub. All the guys weren’t down to come but you were the only down one to go join us at 340 😂 and you had so much fun. I’m going to miss spontaneous trips/hikes with you. Thank you for all the coffee runs you did before we worked a shift together. 🤎 we will never come across another soul like yours. I love you Kev, & you’ll ALWAYS be remembered. In our words, OKURRRRRT. 💁🏻‍♀️ 🤍✨

We were definitely a close-knit group of friends when it came to Olive Garden. Definitely a phenomena not experienced by many.  

Kevin you were such a genuine person and amazing friend to many. You had this pure energy about you that was undeniable. I’m going to miss that. But I’m definitely going to miss your hugs the most. You gave the BEST hugs and I will always cherish those memories. I love you friend. 

Kevin was amazing to all the people around him whether they were family, friends, peers , coworkers, or managers; he loved everyone equally and fully. 

Kevin (and Chris) are like a brothers to me, they have always been my closest friends and confidants. We will forever be missing our third member of the super smashed bros.  

Kevin was always adventurous and willing to do anything and that’s what I loved about him. He was always pushing me to leave my comfort zone and I truly appreciated that about him.

There are so many fun memories I have with you Kevin, you were always so kind and patient. I’ll never forget the time we all went to that Halloween party and guys had to pay an entrance fee but since you were wearing your Spider-Man costume you put your mask on and just walked right past the entrance , that night was so much fun!  Or the time we all went out to fellas after work and after the bar we went to the Olive Garden patio with a case of beer and hung out 😂 Every time I drink a Michi, I’ll be reminded of you and I’m going to miss your laugh most of all. Dear Brother, your memory will never fade away. I will forever cherish the moments and memories in my heart and I will forever miss you. One of the best memories I have had with you was when we went to Disneyland and we got our first glimpse of Star Wars Galaxy's Edge and riding the Millennium Falcon, helping me build a droid and many more.I can go on and on. Kevin was an incredible brother, he was loved by many people. He loved helping people and he also helped out for charities like St Jude , saving the rainforest and ASPCA's. 













Our family is deeply saddened by the passing of your son and brother.  No one can prepare you for a loss.  But take comfort in knowing that Kevin is now resting in the arms of our Lord.

We will always remember him fondly and feel lucky that we had the pleasure of knowing him.  I feel so happy thinking about when I first met him here in Vancouver as a baby and feeding him cookies.  Kevin will be truly missed and we will include him in our daily prayers.

When we lose a loved one here on earth, we gain an angel in heaven that watches over us.  May you take comfort in knowing that you have an angel to watch over you now.

So much to remember about you my son You were born 2 months early 2.7 lbs ,you were so eager to explore the world . You have done what you really want to do all the sports music travel . As a family we had done all the traveling the camping cross country , growing up traveling . Hiking and nature… forever a correlation when having thoughts with you. . Let’s not talk about the time we camped overnight in big bear, UNPREPARED and slept in below 0 degree weather. All I can think of are the laughs and tight hugs you shared with me through the years, and could only help but smile and cry at the same time. You truly had a heart of gold. Selfish of me to want you to be here and come back in the physical but know you are no longer suffering my friend. As I write this, Red Hot Chili Peppers “Otherside” comes on, and I find comfort in knowing you are here with me, I feel you, non-physically. The signs you give, allow clarity in my heart, and give me the strength to move on.  I love you Oatmeal, more than you will ever know.  💔
