Laura can best be remembered for her caring, loving, and head-strong nature. She was fiercely protective of all whom she loved, and she extended this love to many friends, family, and pets. She had a love for animals of all kinds but had a special admiration for horses. Her other pleasures included watching Nascar, cuddling with her animals, and working. Between her many projects and her job at Stater Bros, where she dedicated 21 years, she was never idle.
Laura’s long battle with cancer showcased her courage and resilience. She always had a smile on her face despite her pains and ailments. She never liked to be the center of attention, and oftentimes would not give voice to her pain. Her focus was always on other people. She was always willing to lend a hand to help others despite the many obstacles in her own life.
Laura’s family and friends are deeply saddened by the passing of such a great woman and a cornerstone to many people’s lives. Her favorite biblical poem reads “During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.” Laura’s passing marks the time when Jesus took over the journey that her weary body could no longer travel. Laura may not be leaving footprints in the sand anymore, but she left permanent footprints in many people’s hearts.
