Margaret Hines

At age 102, passed away peacefully in her sleep at Martha & Mary Health Services in Poulsbo, WA on Monday, July 20, 2015.

Margaret was born on March 15, 1913 in Milwaukee, WI. Margaret moved to Fontana, CA as a young girl with her father and sister in 1924. She went on to graduate from Chaffey Union High School in Ontario, CA and married Frank Hines on December 24, 1933, in Riverside, CA.

She moved away from Fontana to Poulsbo, WA in 1995 after the death of her husband in 1994.

Margaret was a loving homemaker who was a member of AARP and enjoyed embroidering, crocheting, and cooking - especially her famous fried chicken and homemade pies.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank; grandson Billy Hines; and sisters, Theresa Allsup and Fran Tanel. Margaret’s memory will live on with her son, Bill Hines, Bishop, CA; daughters Marie Merrill and husband Richard, Poulsbo, WA; Gerri Zabriskie and husband Ray of Hesperia, CA; granddaughter, Janet Rosebeary of Poulsbo, WA; four great granddaughters, Ashley Rosebeary, Shelby Morris, Kelsey Lane all of Washington and Kenley Hines of Tennessee.

Grave side services will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Montecito Memorial Park, Angelus Section, 3520 East Washington Street, Colton, CA 92324. (909-825-3024). In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Martha and Mary Health Services, PO Box 127, Poulsbo, WA 98370.
