

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mariana Florez, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She passed away peacefully at the age of 88. She was born on January 27, 1937, in La Cumbre, Valle del Cauca, Colombia, and after a life filled with love, wisdom, and devotion, she left us on March 3, 2025.
Throughout her 88 years, Mariana exemplified strength, grace, and an unwavering commitment to her family. She was a cherished matriarch, nurturing and guiding seven children, 32 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild with the deepest love and care. Her legacy lives on in each of them, and her impact on us will never be forgotten.
Mariana was a woman of deep faith, compassion, and resilience. Her strength was undeniable up until her final days. She devoted her life to her family, creating a home filled with warmth, good food, kindness, and joy. Her laughter, dances, humorous attitude, love, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Her devoted husband, Sixto Florez, was by her side throughout their journey together, caring for her with love and dedication until her final days. Their bond was a testament to true partnership, and the love they shared will continue to inspire all who knew them.
Mariana will be remembered for her boundless love, nurturing heart, and the beautiful family she created. May she rest in peace, knowing she has left an indelible mark on our hearts. Her memory will live on in all of us, and we find comfort in knowing she is now at peace, surrounded by eternal love.
The family requests privacy during this difficult time but appreciates the outpouring of support and love from all who were touched by Mariana’s remarkable life.
