Hello Yingst Family,
I worked with Mike for 5 years at UBC and Harbortouch and I miss him dearly.  He always had a Great sense of humor and love to talk Baseball.  He would tell me story's about his travels to AZ for Spring Training!
The family has been in my thoughts and prayers since I learned of his passing earlier this year. Love...Willie and Janice Maese

To the entire Yingst Family - I just heard of Mike's passing from a mutual friend in Audubon. Mike and I were close friends growing up in high school and hockey teamates. We played hours of Stratomatic Baseball with Bob Dursch and Don O'Neil. Although we hadn't been in touch recently, I often thought of the great  times we had everytime "Audubon came up in conversation." My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Uncle Michael - being a part of the Yingst family was a choice for me, a choice to marry Jason, even though you told me to run!  I love this family, and I love the part of our lives that you were a part of, that you shared your light and your smile with us all, and the many, many times you made us laugh! Memories of those times will live on forever... I love that family was so important to you - and that is something we intend on carrying forward. You were an uncle to only a few of us, and I was honored to be in that few. I was blown away, though not surprised, to see how many lives you had impacted over the time you were here - you just had that "way" about you; you cared so sincerely for so many. You will forever be in our hearts, and never far from our memories. I love you!

I was very saddened to hear of Mike's passing. He was obviously a special man who will be greatly missed. The Yingst family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I love you so much. I miss all our talks we used to have, you were always so proud of me and wanted nothing but the best for me. You celebrated my accomplishments and helped me thru my falls. I will never forget everything you have done for me and our family. You loved us so much and would do anything you could to see your girls happy. I loved going to the baseball field with you and sitting in the stands at the games while you coached. You loved Isac so much and he loved his GP too. He always wants to eat GPs toast. I'll make sure Isac and baby Michael never forget about you and know what an amazing person you are. I wish you were going to be there to meet Michael but I know you'll be smiling down on us and watching over us. I wish you could walk me down the aisle or have our father daughter dance. So many things we still needed to do. I love you and I miss you more then you will ever know. Thank you for giving us an amazing life

For my Uncle/Godfather/Friend.......
      This tragedy is the hardest thing I've ever had to face. He was the closest person to me to pass. He was more than just an Uncle. More like a father figure/older brother to me. We had a bond that was unique, and special. He referred to me on a few occasions as the son he didn't have. Don't take that the wrong way, he loved his 3 girls and wouldn't trade them for anything. 
We would call each other up for no reason whatsoever than to just hey, call each other couple names(I'll leave the contents PG rated), and hang up. We could do that knowing that we did it without the other getting mad or hurt. Just our own way of showing love I guess. For the last seven years or so we would call or text the other to say we were Sure Happy It's Tuesday/Thursday, and intelligently abbreviated to saying Happy S.H.I.T. Day.
Earliest memory of him was the putting green at my grandparents house. I wasn't but 2 or 3 years old, I can remember flashes of messing around on that green with him. 
In 1992 or 93 the 5 of them came back to Jersey in the summer. Down the street from my parents house was a small baseball field. At the end of center field and right field was some townhouses. We got a few people together for a small game of ball with some of my friends, my father, uncle mike. Him and I were on opposite teams. I wound up pitching, and the first time Mike was up to bat I threw a pitch that he hit off the back siding of one of those townhouses in
right-center field. Of course he trotted around the bases laughing and feeling like he just hit a walk-off World Series clinching home run. I tell you this because I have been hearing about that off and on for 20+ years now. He rubs it in that it was the longest home run he had ever hit. It wasn't really that much a feat. The outfield width from the infield dirt to the trees separating the ball field and the townhouses was no more than 30 feet. Also that kid pitching(me) was a 14 year old who weighed 75 pounds soaking wet in combat boots. You get the picture now, not really that much of a feat is it now? Like I said our version of showing love to each involved ragging on each other, and I cherished every moment of it. 
In 2003 he brought the family to Florida to surprise my Dad for his 50th birthday. I was newly engaged and about to introduce my new fianc to our closest relatives. Also we had not announced our engagement to any of them. Everyone who came in from out of town basically got the airport around the same time, so we met everyone up there, surprised my dad, and announced to everyone when they got there that we were engaged. Now this woman I plan to marry, never met or talked to any of them before. Led by none other than my dear Uncle Mike, screams at the top of his lungs in a crowded Orlando airport, WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?  RUN AWAY FAST! YEP!! That's my flesh and blood right there!! I did all I could to forewarn Jasmyne what to expect, but sometimes there is never a perfect form of warning. Newcomers just have to go through that experience themselves. Like I said in this family we show love for each other through sarcastic wise cracks directed at each other. 
He was a family driven and oriented man. He was always there when you needed him, gave the shirt off his back, and loved by so many people. The outpouring of responses on Facebook alone are staggering, but thats testament to his character. 
     I already miss our weekly calls or texts. I know sometime in the future we will pick them up where we left off. I love you Uncle!!!

   I saw that quote and thought of you again.  I've been thinking about you a lot...thinking where have you gone? Why did you leave so soon? No answers of course...We certainly have those childhood memories and the memories of more recent times in California, Florida and North Carolina.  But I think of memories we will never get to make now and how it will never be the same.  I miss you and will love you forever my brother.  I have no words of my own that come easily now so I'll include this poem that seems to fit.

       So go and run with the angels

       For the Lord has chosen you to be with him
       And we should feel nothing but proud.
       Although he has taken you from us
       And our pain a lifetime will last.

Strange isn't it?  Each man's life touches so many other lives.  When he isn't around he leaves an awful whole, doesn't he?  (Clarence, the Guardian Angel to George Bailey,  “It's a Wonderful Life)  That quote from my favorite movie kept going through my head every time I read a condolence note written to Mary Kay and the family about Mike.  Like everyone, I was so shocked to learn of Mike's passing. He was so full of life. I haven't seen Mike or Mary Kay in over 30 years but was fortunate enough to reconnect through FaceBook a few years ago. Much to my delight, I could tell that Mike didn't change very much.  He still had a great sense of humor and great love of family.  I enjoyed every picture posted of Mike and Mary Kay's ever growing and beautiful family.  From trips to North Carolina, Las Vegas or Phillies and Flyer's games, it was wonderful to see that even though they made California their home, they stayed true to their roots and instilled that in their children and grandchildren.  It was also lovely to see the pictures of Mike with the little league kids and to think he coached for 25 years???  I can't even begin to imagine how many lives Mike impacted in such a positive way. We need more people like Mike here on earth.   Most of us are lucky to have lasting impact on a handful of people in a lifetime, Mike impacted hundreds, if not more.    He also made an impact on this long ago friend.  Miles and years parted us, but my memories never faded.  Mike was one of my first managers when I started working at Herman's Sporting Goods and he was patient with me as a 16 year old at her first job.   He was the first person I went to for a letter of reference and of course the first letter he gave me was hysterically funny, but then he pulled out the real letter from the desk and it was better than I thought I deserved!   Mike, Mary Kay, Timmy and I enjoyed a trip to Wildwood together and it was easy to see then the love they had for each other and it was a love that stayed strong throughout the years.  Mary and family, I hope it is that love and the memories that will sustain you.  Please know that my sister Donna, Tim and I send you our deepest condolences and that you will all will continue to be in our prayers.  Mike, I will miss your FaceBook postings. I was so sorry to hear about Mike, he was a Friend and close colleague and worked with Mike for 6 years. I will miss him!! Janice and my thoughts and prayers are with Mary and the Entire Yingst family.

Such a kind man. Thank you for your dedication to our young teens.  You were my son's JV baseball coach and we appreciate all you did for him and all the team members. Mr. Commissioner, I have so many memories with you. You were a good friend with a great sense of humor who shared so much of himself. You taught boys to be men through the game you loved, baseball. I am going to miss you.

Thank you for the many memories with CSLL & CSHS. Those were unforgettable years. You may not have known it at the time or intentionally planned to leave a legacy....but without a doubt you have shaped the character of so many young people who looked up to you both on and off the ball field. Mary Kay, Mike was a friend in business and a cheerful soul. I enjoyed meals together, catching up on this week's business stories, trading advice, listening to each other. Mike was an energetic ally! I'll miss him, too.

He was only my coach for that one year on the Mets but he made it a memorable one. He always tried to play me whenever he got a chance to. And his face lit up when I got my first hit after so many games. But my memories that mean the most are the ones at the snack bar. He'd always come and yell out "Hi David! Love you David!" And then I'd reply "Hi mike! Love you Mike!" And we would say it every time we saw each other. Even if we just saw each other like 3 minutes before. He had his special hotdog when he came up to the snackbar. His two weenies one bun. He'd always come up and ask for the usual and I'd already have it ready for him. And he always had $10 for himself or if Tyler wanted anything which he always did. Coach Mike had a huge impact on and off the field for me. He was one of the reasons I always wanted to succeed in sports and in the books. Thanks for everything coach. This isn't a good bye. It's more of a "love Ya Mike! See Ya later Mike!" RIP coach

I want to say thank you to Mary K for Latin and giving Mike to all the baseball kids that he coached throughout the years including Zachary Galaviz and Sarah Galaviz we will never forget him rest in peace Mike love you always Galaviz family

Mary & Family--I knew Mike since 2007. We had several golf outings together. Mike was very special to me and others and will be deeply missed. I was very much moved by the service today and I know Mike will live on in the memories of his dear friends. My Sincere condolences.

Mike we had our share of great games against each other on the field it was the best time of my coaching memories .I will always have you in my memories as a rival on the field and a friend off the field rest in peace coach you will be missed .

Mary & Family, there are no words to tell you how sorry I am. Mike was a wonderful friend, husband, & father. He loved you all so much, he was my idea of the perfect man. He was there for me when I needed a hug. He told me at our wedding that I had picked the right man to spend the rest of my life with & it meant a lot to me cause he knew my track record wasn't very good. He will be missed by everyone that knew him.

Words can not express how much he will be missed by all. Mary and Mike used to watch our kids when they were babies(29 years ago). So many fun times, game nights, New Years Eve parties. I can still hear him saying to Paul "Hey Bud..dy" and we would crack up laughing. :-) The best family we have ever known. Mike was a special man and he will always be remember in our hearts. (RIP Mike) Mary and family you are in our thoughts and prayers always.

I too worked with Mike for many years as a colleague on the same sales team.
I had the utmost respect for Mike's  integrity, sincerity, knowledge, and good judgement.  Being around Mike one couldn't help but feel his glow of friendship and caring.
Mike knew his sports and often outsmarted  me  on who would win the Denver Broncos games.  It was "I told you so" on Monday and we shared some laughs.
I have a pleasant and distinct  memory of the last time I saw Mike.  We were standing side by side, during a  few days company function in Florida many years ago.  We were on the beach and we were disappointed that a Shuttle space launch was postponed. and we wouldn't get to watch it.
 Somehow, I even knew and sensed back then, that was a special moment shared with a friend.
We will all dearly miss a wonderful friend. coach, husband and family member.
Let us  truly cherish Mike's memory.

Although I hav'nt seen Mike in some years my memories of little league with Mike are forever with me. He had a special love for all the boys he coached and he influenced my boys to be better sportsmen. He coached my older son Brendan all through little league and he wanted to coach my youngest Preston because he had watched him and been around him since he was a baby but he never got the chance but he always supported him. Mike was a special person and coach, my family will always remember Mike and miss him.

Sincere condolences to the Yingst Family.   Have worked with Michael for over six years, a great team player.  Michael was always willing to kindly help another by sharing his business expertise.

My heart is heavy...I met Mike through our work, we worked together for about 6 years all through allot of ups and downs. we were a tight group that all supported one another. I also enjoyed the time I was able to spend with Mike and Mary on a few vacations.  Mike was a great co-worker and friend. I'll never forget - He called me "little sister" never "boss".... and he was like a big brother. This is such a great loss of a wonderful, sincere gentleman. I pray for his wife and entire family, you all remain in my thoughts and prayers!!

To the YINGST:  As you say goodbye to your beloved Husband, Father, & Grandfather in his physical form, know that he will be with you forever in spirit.

I coached with Mike at Canyon Springs Little.  He was one of the most upstanding, honest & fair coaches i've ever worked with.  He was also one of the nicest men I've ever met.  He taught all the kids how to play the game with dignity and respect.  I learned a lot from him.  He will be missed. My condolences to his wife and family.  He was a good man.

Mary and girls, Mike and I were HS friends and recently over the past year or so reconnected via Face Book. It was always great catching up with Mike and sharing his family pictures, sports activites, and our shared interest in bicycling. Most recently, 2 weeks ago, we were discussing a small reunion when you guys where coming east in July for a wedding. All the out pouring of terrific comments are a testament to Mike's contribution. He was a great family man and still found time to give back. While clearly leaving us way too soon, still, job well done. We will miss Mike and for all of us in the east, we will miss his FB postings and family updates. We will keep your terrific family in our thoughts.

When I think of what I will miss most about Mike, there are so many things I don't know where to begin.  We had so many fun times together from bowling to vacations to fun parties at your home.  Thank you God for allowing me to have the pleasure of knowing Mike.  He will be greatly missed by all.  Mary and family I love all of you.

I used to bowl with Mike and Mary several years ago--we were on the same team.  Mike was one of the nicest guys you could ever hope to meet.  (And Mary was an absolute sweetheart.)  I am still in a state of utter disbelief over the passing of such a wonderful human being--and a man I was most fortunate enough to call my friend.  My heartfelt condolences to Mary and her daughters, as well as to everyone who knew and loved Mike.  He will be missed beyond words.

Amazing, nurturing, caring, accepting, loving, goof ball, compassionate, full of life is just a few things that comes to mind when I think of Mike. I have only met him and hung out with him a few times in the past 4 years. But a person like that will always leave a lasting impression. 
Mike and Mary Kay as a couple is what I have always admired and hoped to find and have one day. 
Having the same interest in hockey and baseball even though he rooted for the wrong team, jk =P
Mike and Mary Kay always had their door, heart and ears open for anyone in need. And that was the best lesson to pass down to their future generations. 
Mike cracked jokes either with you or about you, but always had you leaving with a huge smile. 
Mike will be surely missed but never forgotten. You don't get to meet many people like this in a lifetime and I'm glad I did. <3

I really didn't know Mike but he ran a strato-matic baseball league that I am in and he was a great leader and person.  I was really sad to hear the news and I know Mike is in a better place in the hands of God.
