Norma J. Walden Saunders of Rialto, CA has passed away. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her the most, offering support, wisdom, and love in abundance. She was beautiful, brilliant, and funny. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and strength.
Born in Bentonville, Arkansas. The daughter of Grover and Virginia Walden. After moving to Marin County, CA as a young girl, she graduated from Sir Frances Drake High School. She was one of seven sisters and is survived by her two younger sisters; Caroline Colombo and Sharon Sauerland. She is preceded in death by her sisters; Alma Lee, Joan, Levon, and Lorena. In addition to her sisters, she is also survived by her two children; Stephen Saunders-Hillis and Kimberly Saunders-Williams. Norma has three grandchildren; Christopher Williams, Krystle Lee, and Leilani Hillis, as well as five great grandchildren; Mason, Aubree, Luke, Riley, and Jesse. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Norma was a beloved school teacher at San Bernardino High School for over 35 years retiring in 2009. She led the Sobobans Girls Club at San Bernardino High School for many years. She was also a tour group organizer of Travel with Norma.
She was an avid world traveler and loved seeing the world, its people, and all the sights, sounds and adventures each place held. She also enjoyed photography, reading, and cake decorating.
All who knew and loved her are invited to a Memorial gathering to celebrate her life and visit with the family on Tuesday March, 17th 2026 at 10am. Montecito Memorial Park and Mortuary 3520 E. Washington St, Colton, CA 92324
