

On Monday, August 11, 2025, Ray Valdivia peacefully passed away at his home of 60 years, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and family.
In his lifetime, he met and married the love of his life, Irene Valdivia. Their marriage was filled with devotion, laughter, and enduring love. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised two wonderful children. He was preceded in death by his son Renee Valdivia. He is survived by his daughter Marlene Valdivia (married to Frank Flores).
A proud and loving grandfather, Ray found immense joy in his grandchildren: Cynthia Valdivia, Kristen Gomez and her husband Nicolas Gomez, Marcus Valdivia, Adrianna Flores, and Andrew Flores. His love extended even further to his great-grandchildren: Valentino Rios, Elizabeth Gomez, Bethany Gomez, Nathaniel Valdivia, and Mando Valdivia. He treasured his great-grandchildren and had a special place for them in his heart.
Beyond his devotion to family, Ray lived life with energy and passion. He loved bike riding, enjoyed barbecuing for those he loved, and found peace in planting, landscaping, spending time outdoors and walking his beloved dog Chewy. A dedicated Raiders fan, he never missed a chance to cheer on his team.
Ray will be remembered for his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering love. His presence brought warmth to those around him, and his legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
He leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories and an enduring example of strength, love, and dedication to family.
A visitation for Ray will be held Friday, August 29, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at Montecito Memorial Park and Mortuary, 3520 E Washington St, Colton, CA 92324. Casket will be closed at 9:45 AM and Rosary will begin at 10 AM. A funeral service will occur Friday, August 29, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 3520 E Washington St, Colton, CA 92324. A committal service will occur Friday, August 29, 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM, 3520 E Washington St, Colton, CA 92324. A Celebration of Life will occur immediately following the committal service at American Legion Post 106, 814 W Colton Ave, Redlands, CA 92374
