

Rex D. Cox peacefully passed away to be with the Lord on Father’s Day. A viewing is scheduled from 8:00-9:30am at the main office with graveside services at 10:00am and a lunch reception immediately following on Friday June 22nd at Montecito Memorial Park, Colton .
The 4th child of Raymond and Audrey Cox, Rex was born in Alberta, Canada and at the age of 6 moved to San Bernardino, CA. He graduated from SBHS in 1936 and in 1942 joined the Army Corp until 1945, ending his enlistment as a corporal. In 1950 he graduated valedictorian from Woodbury College in Los Angeles with a B.A. in Accounting. In 1954 he married his college sweetheart, Barbara Fox, and settled down in his hometown. In 1957 Rex opened his own public accounting practice which he continued until 2000.
Throughout his life he was civic-minded; he was a long time member of The Easter Seals Society; Crossroads Rotary; Scottish Rite; San Bernardino Masonic Lodge; the Uptown YMCA, and the Society of California Accountants.
Rex is survived by his wife Barbara; his children: Nancy Webster, Lisa Sayegh (Khalid), David Cox (Diane); his grandchildren: Audrey Maqueira (Ermes), Ashley Haiston, and his great-grandchildren: Dylan and Ryan Maqueira.
