

Richard W. Hubbard was born December 24, 1929 in Battle Creek, Michigan to Ralph and Myrtle Hubbard. He was an only child. When he was about five years old they moved to Glendale, California. He graduated from Glendale Adventist Academy as the Vice-President of his Class in 1947. He continued his education at Pacific Union College and received a B.S. in Chemistry in 1951. He graduated from Purdue University in Indiana with a Phd in Bio-chemistry in 1961. He moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan and worked as a Bio chemistry researcher (1961-1970). While at Stanford University he went to Cape Canaveral and sent a monkey into space as a part of his chemistry research. At Loma Linda University he worked in the Department of Pathology and was also chairman at the School of Medical Technology. He worked in the Allied Health Department doing research and teaching.
He was known for his health research and gave lectures around the country. He gave cooking and life style lectures in Loma Linda and Redlands. He founded the Health Hyperlink, Inc.
Richard enjoyed playing tennis, snow skiing, water skiing, and sailing. He sailed many trips to Catalina, San Diego, and Vancouver.
He married Connie Gloor in Watsonville, November 18, 1951. They moved to Redlands, California in 1970 and joined the Redlands Seventh-day Adventist Church. They have three children: Robert Hubbard, Jeff Hubbard residents of Redlands, Karen Hubbard Lerner from Jacksonville, Florida and five grandchildren: Alec Lerner, Nicole Lerner, Aleia Learner, Madison Hubbard, and Savannah Hubbard.
