

Son of Adelaide Mary Mosher (Causgrove), and Alfred Monroe Mosher, he was born October 14, 1935, in Erie, PA. He graduated from Lawrence Park High School and attended Gannon College. Dick married Pauline Louise Held on June 16, 1956, and they were married 68 years up to his death. After getting married, they moved to Colton, CA where they spent their lives together and raised their 5 children. He worked most of his career as a cost accountant for Lockheed Martin where he retired after over forty years of service. During his retirement years he spent a lot of his time golfing, assisting others with household repairs, and spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded to heaven by his parents and stepfather Chester Pietron, siblings: Russell Mosher, Carolyn Olejnik (Mosher), and Alfred Mosher. In addition, he was preceded by his daughter Colleen Whisler (Mosher), and grandson Timothy Rosales. He is survived by his wife and mother of his children, Pauline Louise Mosher (Held) originally of Erie, PA; their children: Cheryl Mosher of Alta Loma, CA, Mark Mosher and wife Valerie Mosher (Rolerkite) of Highland, CA, Stephanie Rosales (Mosher) and Mike Dominguez of Colton, CA, and Melissa Young (Mosher) of Altadena, CA; seven grandchildren: Virgil Whisler, Amanda Gutierrez (Whisler), Molly Whisler, Nicole Mosher, Lauren Mosher-Whipple, Cory Rosales, and Colleen Mosher-Dominguez as well as many, many cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and great grandchildren.
Dick was a deeply loved father, uncle, cousin, brother, and friend to many. His passing was due to complications caused by Dementia/Alzheimer’s disease.
Being active in the community was a passion for Dick. He participated in several volunteer activities such as Colton Little League and Girls Softball. He regularly attended Immaculate Conception Church and served as a lector. Dick enjoyed visiting with his many close friends by attending the Colton Knights of Columbus Hall. Here he and Pauline could be found showing off their swing dance moves. In addition, Dick was active in the Colton government and served as Planning Commissioner for several years. He was witty and always ready and willing to assist with home repairs. Dick will be greatly missed by all that have had the opportunity to spend time with him.

A visitation for Richard will be held Thursday, December 5, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Montecito Memorial Park and Mortuary, 3520 E Washington St, Colton, CA 92324. A funeral service will occur Friday, December 6, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 3520 E Washington St, Colton, CA 92324. A committal service will occur Friday, December 6, 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM, 3520 E Washington St, Colton, CA 92324. There will be a reception immediately following at Mark Mosher's Residence, 7546 Mr McDuffs Way, Highland, CA 92346.
