Rick, a man with a great sense of humor, a passionate, strong heart, and a destined talent for music. He certainly lived a colorful life through trial and error, being brought to redemption and grace through His Lord Jesus and living the rest of his days giving glory to God.
Rick rejoiced in his ministry to deliver the message of salvation. Even more, his foundation and faith in his vision was strengthened by his teammate in worship and life, his beautiful and resilient wife Joy Candelaria. She was and is his rock, always and forever. Through worship they will forever be a team.
Rick found his peace and sanctuary in the Community of Lytle Creek, CA with is dogs (Sady, Nani, Ashkii, and Lany). He had great love and pride for his son and legacy of destined talent, Joseph Candelaria. There is no doubt Rick will be with Joseph in spirit and music every step of the way. He also cherished his daughters, and grandchildren who always held his heart: Morningstar Tovar (Amber Moon (Marley&Julian) and Xayden); Monica (Andre’, Johnny, Crystal, Adam, Sam, Raven) and Syril (Lillianna) who completed his family legacy. His brother’s and sister’s Able Candelaria, Vicki Ruiz (Neice, Andrea), Michael Candelaria, and Francis Candelaria and their families, even though some, separated by distance were genuinely loved by Rick. Rick and Joy also hosted 2 Chinese Exchange students who they “adopted” has their sons, Bob and Zack.
Rick was a giver and would do anything for anyone… You needed help he was there! You needed something… he would find it! Needed something fixed… He would fix it…!! The world today needs more,
Rick Candelarias.
