Robert L. Kurth passed away January 3, 2015 at the age of 75 at Loma Linda University Medical Center. He was the youngest son of Verna and Florence (Kanke) Kurth of Marengo, IA. His schooling was in Marengo where he graduated in 1958. He worked at Collins Radio Company in Cedar Rapids Iowa until 1969 when he moved to California.
Bob enjoyed playing golf, fishing and watching sports on television. Having coffee with his buddies, enjoying his grandkids Derek, Sydney, Ella and dog Toby.
Bob is survived by his wife of 43 years Sylvia Kurth of Grand Terrace, California. 4 daughters Melissa (Garrett) Shepherd of Oak Hills, CA, Cindy Mast of Guttenburg, IA. Vanessa (Doug) Mackey of Ely, IA and Kathy Kurth of Marengo, IA. Brother Lyle (Carol) Kurth of Robins, IA William (Doris) Kurth, Sister Noami and Dorothy Krakow of Marengo, IA. 11 Grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, Sister Maxine Slaymaker, Brother Orlin, brother-in-laws George and Elmer Krakow and Gerald Slaymaker all of Marengo, IA. A Memorial service will be set at a later date.
