Robert (Bob) Daniel Luna Jr. died Tuesday, Feburary 7, 2020, at his home surrounded by his family and friends. Bob was a lifelong resident of Colton, California. He was the eldest son of Robert Daniel Luna Sr. and Guadalupe S. Luna,both lifelong residents of Colton.
Bob is survived by his wife Linda Luna, his children, Robert Luna II, Marcus Anthony, Aisha Luna and Leanna Luna-Vargas. Bob and Linda have 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Bob is also survived by his sister Christine Luna-Delgado, brothers Andres Luna II, Richard Daniel Luna, Jerry John Luna, sister in-law Arlene and Danny Estrada and brothers in-law, Lawrence and Lucy Nieves and Ronnie and Marietta Nieves.
Bob graduated from Colton High School in 1970, where he met the love of his life Linda. On August 6, 1971, Bob married his High School sweet heart Linda Nieves. Bob and Linda have been married for 48 years and have been best friends for over 55 years. Bob worked for Cal Trans for over 30 years.
Bob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. He loved spending time with his family, friends and watching his great-grandchildren grow. Bob and Linda’s greatest love in their retirement years was looking after their great-grandchildren, taking them to school watching them play sports. Bob was a very spiritual man. Each morning you would find him praying his rosary and listening to his favorite music before he would begin his day.
He is preceded in death by his parents Robert Sr. and Guadalupe Luna.
