Roslyn Dia Townsend

Roslyn Dia Townsend, daughter of the late Arthur P. Townsend and Mylrid Cain Giles, was born December 14th 1947, in San Bernardino, California. She attended the public schools in San Bernardino and graduated from San Bernardino High School. She then furthered her education and attended California State University, Los Angeles.

Roslyn began her accounting career with MTA in Los Angeles, Ca where she served dutifully for thirty years before retiring. In her leisure, she enjoyed gardening, hosting gatherings, reading and shopping. She also enjoyed helping others and spending time with her family, friends and grandchildren.

Roslyn transitioned from this life on Thursday January 12th 2023. She was preceded in death by her father Arthur P. Townsend, mother Mylrid Giles, stepfather Richard Giles, Brothers Donald Townsend, Gregory Townsend and Steven Giles.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her son, Tarik Bragg, her daughter in law, Camille Bragg. Her grandchildren, Trason J. Bragg (18), Tarik Bragg II (14) and Tawni Bragg (12). Her sister Yolanda Townsend and brothers Brian Townsend and Michael Townsend. Her nieces and nephews, Damon Giles, Brizette Giles, Joshua Giles, Natashia Townsend, Aneisha Townsend, Chris Wheat, Nora Wheat, Dominique Townsend, Alexis Townsend, and Mya Townsend. Roslyn also leaves a host of family and friends who will miss her dearly.
