Ruben Anthony Gutierrez passed away peacefully on December 26, 2013 at the age of 60. Throughout his recent hospitalization, his family, friends, and coworkers remained optimistic and hoped for a full recovery.
Ruben graduated from California State University, Los Angeles in 1989 with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Engineering with a concentration in Electrical Engineering. He loved his job, and was proud to have had the opportunity to work for renowned companies such as Southern California Edison, Parsons International Engineering, Chevron, MCI, Inc., General Dynamics, and California Steel Industries where he was the Senior Electrical Engineer for the past 16 years.
He lived with his family in Moreno Valley for the last 23 years after they moved from Pomona. He loved classic rock, Corvettes, Jeeps, military history, mechanics, and the desert.
Ruben is survived by three children: Anthony and his wife Shana; Andrea; and Alicia and her fiancé Daniel; two grandchildren: Kailey and Brendan; and Eva, his wife of 37 years.
His kindness, generosity, and gentle spirit will continue to live on in the hearts and minds of his family and friends.
