Saisamorn lived, worked and raised a family for most of her life in San Diego, CA. Although she was already working as a registered nurse, she wanted more for her family and her career. She took time to study anesthesiology in Walla Walla, WA and was a certified nurse anesthetist for over 30 years, working mostly at Paradise Valley Hospital in San Diego.
Saisamorn enjoyed traveling the world with her husband, Jonathan, and her sons, Denny and Kelvin. They have been to many countries, but her favorite place is Bangkok, Thailand, where she grew up. In her retirement, she discovered that she was a talented artist. Saisamorn was a quick learner when it came to drawing and painting, and even had a gallery showing at one of the senior homes she resided. Although she had Parkinson’s, it did not stop her from creating beautiful paintings, which brought her peace and joy. She even has an Instagram account showcasing her talent. You can find her work at @saikonpainter.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren - Jamie would often visit and call her on the phone to share her day, and she patiently listened to Jonas practice piano every evening on FaceTime. Jason and AJ were happy to have had the opportunity to live with their grandma the last 2 years. Jason would often share and talk about his drawings and graphic design work. AJ was nearby to talk and help her with personal requests. She was even-tempered, empathetic, kind and generous to anyone who she came across. She was also a good sport, willing to try new things, and took great pleasure in spending time with her family in laughter and love.
Saisamorn will be greatly missed by her family and friends
