Steve Chavez here from high school. Seeing this, I feel like it’s so unreal and it can’t be true. I have so many memories of Santiago and how funny he was all the time. There was never a moment when I saw him without a smile. Life was so full and fun for Santi! I wish I could have stayed in touch and had more memories of life with Santi and his family. I still remember and am so grateful to this day when his family let me live with them for the summer when I was having problems with my dad. They took me in as their own and I remember when Santi asked his dad if I could stay there he even told him my last name is Chavez too and his dad said well there you go, you’re family. One of the greatest families I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing and Santi was a clear representation of that with his open hearted he was also. I can’t wait to meet him again one day and see the light that shined so brightly!

I just want to say that I wish we had more time you were a great friend from middle school to adult life . That contagious  smile you wore on your face will be missed.  I remember when we were in middle school and all used to talk about. Is Music riding bikes  and playing sports.  I am honored to have had contact with you after high school you sent me so many positive messages  even when you were struggling with your own issues. I’m gonna miss you, swiping to talk mess … I will never forget meeting you … I will never forget the school dances I will never forget ! You were the nicest kid to me .. I’m grateful I’m thankful to have experienced you… I love Santi TU SABES😔😔

I just want the world to stop for a minute… A beautiful soul has been claimed and I just can’t make sense of it. I pray for everyone that knew you and loved you because this pain is unbearable. I pray that your children feel your presence and your love constantly. Life as we know is never fair and although I question why I know that God makes no mistakes. I love you and you will always be my little brother 🫶🏾 Look after your family, all of the babies and Oshay. I know that we will all see you on the other side so it’s not goodbye it’s see you later. 🙏🏾🕊️🕊️🥀

We love you so very much♥️  we will miss you more than you can imagine they will miss your calls and your voice … and your smile and the ways it tickles there stomach the way you use to laugh when they would play fight to get your attention while you hype them up… to continue ..We will make your proud Daddy  (always)Susie said she will   always wear a (pretty shirt) for you and be a (Good girl) she will continue her gymnastics and cheer for  2023 and she knows that you will be there always  cheering her on. And Suavie will be in rolled into elite boxing academy, later this year and so will Titis I know they will make you proud and be there in spirit.💙 guiding and protecting them also, this summer will be doing their first year of football 🏈 they will miss your call for their first day of kindergarten as well ..but I promised them no matter what daddy will protect and watch over you NO matter what…I’m your words (Tu Sabesss) Susie will keep that alive always even on the harder days. I’m still in disbelief. I see you running up and down  my stairs being bad, you and Oshay. I see your beautiful smile saying sorry moms. I saw you a month ago I was so happy. I had just asked about you. You said mom  I have 4 kids they all good I kissed you and said be good I love you. Love you too! I’m so heartbroken 💔 but i know the Lord don’t make mistakes.
