

Seng, who is of Chinese descent, was born in Kratie, Cambodia. Born into a family of 13 children, ten boys and three girls, he was the fifth child brought into this world by his father Nhep Cheang Ly and mother Luy Chhay. During the Khmer Rouge regime between 1975-1979, he fled to Thailand and later immigrated to the United States in 1982 with his wife and two eldest children.
In 1991, he attended San Bernardino Valley College obtaining his Associate of Science degree in the Automotive Industry. He was a well known Automotive Mechanic for over 30 years and made an impact on many lives with his skilled profession. He later retired in 2018. He enjoyed the simple things in life such as fishing, camping, basketball and boxing, but most of all spending time with his beautiful grandchildren.
He was married for 45 years and is survived by his wife Sokhom Nhiev and six children; Sokuntheary, Veasna, Mallory, Charlie, Jennifer, Robert and seven grandchildren; Riley, Mikayla, Averie, Madelyn, Mason, Khamiah and Sydney.
Although he was not a man of many words, he was known for his generosity, honesty and loving heart. He always put family first before his own needs, supporting and helping those he loved. Seng was loved by all of those who came into his life.
Husband, Dad, Brother, Ta, Oum, Pou, you are always in our hearts and we know you are just a thought away.

A Buddhist Ceremony will take place Thursday, February 9, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM in Cypress Chapel 24145 Barton Road, Loma Linda CA 92354. A visitation for Seng will follow from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Montecito Memorial Park and Mortuary, 24145 Barton Road, Loma Linda CA 92354.
