

Sheila Antoinette Ramoutar was born on May 10, 1944, to Joshua Ramoutar and Manjariah Ramoutar of LP# 22, Forres Park, Claxton Bay in the twin island state of Trinidad and Tobago. She was educated in Trinidad, Canada and USA at the Port of Spain Community Hospital, Branson Hospital in Toronto, Canada, La Sierra and Loma Linda Universities respectively, acquiring a BSc in Nursing with specializations in ICU and transplant. Sheila’s lifelong dream of being of tremendous assistance to humanity was fulfilled in the career that God inspired her to choose, that hallmark of becoming a professional , dependable, caring, compassionate and reliable nurse, and to which she devoted and dedicated over Fifty years of her life working in Trinidad and Tobago, Canada, Florida, and the majority of her time at Loma Linda Medical Centre in California until her retirement. During this period of time, Sheila cultivated genuine friendships with peoples of all faiths, nations, languages, races, tribes, including doctors, nurses, patients and the wider community exhibiting her God given skills to all, with whom she came into contact.
Finally, Sheila lived a wonderful, and tested life, and providing the stimulus of hope and courage for hundreds of people in Christ Jesus. Sheila came from a small family of five. Her parents are deceased as well as two of her brothers, Joseph, the eldest and Phillip. She is survived by her younger sister, Joan, and her last brother, Richard, as well as first cousins, nephews and nieces.
A viewing for Sheila will be held Monday, June 2, 2025 from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM at Montecito Memorial Park and Mortuary, 3520 E Washington St, Colton, CA 92324. A celebration of life will occur Monday, June 2, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, 3520 E Washington St, Colton, CA 92324. A committal service will occur Monday, June 2, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM, 3520 E Washington St, Colton, CA 92324.
