At the Lemoore SDA church social in January 2019.  It was a birthday party celebrating everyone's birthdays throughout the year.  Twelve tables were set up and each person sat at the table of their birth month.

Our Dear brother, Sid Schneider, was called home into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior on Monday, March 4, 2019 at 11:40 am in Hanford, California.  At the time of his death, Sid suffered from many health issues.
      Sid was born on October 24, 1952 in Whittier, CA  He was born with a congenital heart defect, which caused physical and mental disabilities throughout his life.  He attended Orangewood Academy in Garden Grove, CA and continued his education at Loma Linda University La Sierra Campus in Riverside, CA, receiving a Bachelor's degree in Archeology.  Sid loved his travels to Hawaii and especially to Europe and the Middle East, where he participated in archeological digs.  He was very proud and loved telling stories about his adventures as a world traveler.
     Sid moved to Bakersfield, CA, then to Lake Isabella,  where Robin and David Pontius looked after him.  His last 18 months of life were spent in Lemoore, CA, receiving great care from Dr. Jay and Gayle Rubino (he met Gayle when he was 22 and she was 18 at LLU/LSC and they became life-long friends).  We believe God placed these wonderful people in Sid's life when he most needed it.  Our family is deeply grateful to Dr. Jay and Gayle Rubino, and Robin and David Pontius for their unselfish love and care for our brother Sid these past years.  What a blessing they were to Sid and us!
       Sid was preceded in death by his father--Dr. Ellsworth Schneider (age 74), mother, Edna Schneider (77), three uncles--Dr. Wilbur Schneider (99), Paul Beecham (82), Dale Beecham (76), one cousin, Lisa Miles (32), and one nephew, David Mortensen (26).
     Sid is survived by his brother, Duke Schneider (wife Becky), sister Suni Cusino (husband Dennis), 6 nephews and 3 nieces--Cari (husband Joe), Tessi, Jayson (wife Redia), Jessica (husband Andy), Chris, and Ryan.  One aunt (Evelyn Miles Berliner (age 92) and 3 cousins.
     Sid, you were loved by all and will be missed.  Rest in Peace until we meet again in heaven!
