“It’s with the heaviest of hearts, we are sad to announce the passing of our incredible, beautiful, powerhouse of a woman, our beloved, Socorro Aurelia Ceballos of Grand Terrace, age 81. Born and raised in San Bernardino, CA. She worked for the California State Department of Corrections for 30+ years. Paving the way as a woman in a male dominated field. Fought for womans rights. And stood up for what was right. Protecting those she loved and those who deserved to be treated fairly. Life had its trying times but she always stood right back up, dusted herself off and persevered.
She was phenomenal. She left many loved ones but was greeted by many as well. It brings solace to know after 31 years, she gets to hug her daughter Melissa and hold her tight once again. And after 5 years, she gets to hug the love of her life Paul and go on date nights to the casino in the sky. Partners for life and beyond.
She is survived by her two sons, Mark Ceballos & Paul Ceballos. As well as her beautiful grandchildren & great grand children. When the sun kisses your skin with warmth, and when the moon illuminates everything with such elegance, just like the woman she was, just know it is her with you. When the monarch butterfly catches your eye flying by, or a hummingbird comes so close to you that you stare in awe, just know she is with you. She will always be with us.”
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.montecitomemorialparkandmortuary.com for the Ceballos family.
