Susan Kathleen Conners (Byron) was born on January 27, 1965, in Shiloh, Illinois, to parents Paul and June Byron. Susan was the youngest of 3 and long awaited daughter. Susan grew up a tomboy, imitating her older brothers Michael and Christopher.
In 1985, while training to become a LVN, Susan met and soon married the love of her life, William Stanley Conners. The couple welcomed three daughters Sarah Grace, Kaitlin Faith and Krista Joy. Susan decided to stay home and raiser her daughters and devoted herself to being a full time homemaker. She was in a terrible car accident in 1993 suffering spinal cord injuries that resulted in her becoming a paraplegic and needing a wheelchair for the rest of her life. This did not stop Susan from raising her family and continuing to overcome personal struggles. She was a devout practicing Catholic and would tell you Jesus was her best friend.
Susan passed away on February 20, 2023, after a long battle with declining health issues. She is survived by her husband, William, and daughters Sarah, Kaitlin, and Krista. She also had the great pleasure of being a grandma to 5 grandchildren, Aurora, Riley, Michael, Myles, and Marlowe. She was a wonderful mother, sister, daughter, and wife. Susan lived a very full life and will be missed by many.
