

Thomas Frederick Quinn was born in St. John, Michigan on March 26, 1953. The second of three children born to Joseph and Marion Quinn. After moving from Michigan to Oklahoma, the Quinn family then settled in California where Tom spent his formative years growing up. Tom graduated from Pacific Union College Preparatory School in 1971. Always a hard worker, he earned his high school and college tuition while working at Grandview and the St. Helena Sanitarium. Tom went on to study Biology at Pacific Union College, where he earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees by the age of 21.
Tom became a science teacher. His first teaching job was at Lynwood Academy, which is where he met and fell in love with Diana Villegas. Tom and Diana were married in 1979, and were with each other throughout life’s ups and downs for 37 years.
Tom and Diana welcomed two children, Catherine Joy and Christopher Joseph. Tom was a wonderful and devoted father, husband and teacher. He taught his children the importance of education and to never give up on their dreams.
Tom enjoyed traveling, trying new foods with his children and spending time with all pets and animals. An educator for thirty years, and later in real estate, Tom always enjoyed helping others.
Tom is survived by his children, Catherine and Christopher; his sister Beverly, brother Joseph and nephew Blake.
