Suddenly on August 21, 2017, Alan Joseph Bollinger, age 60, passed away. He is the dear son of Shirley Bollinger and the late Joseph Bollinger. Beloved husband of Patti Petry and loving father of Emily Ann Bollinger, Elizabeth Elsie Bollinger and Matthew Joseph Bollinger. Brother of Donna Hamilton and her husband Dennis, Adele Halterman, and Randy Bollinger and his wife Diane. Brother-in-law of Michael Petry and his wife Susan and Luther Petry and his wife Judy.
Alan was born in Baltimore City but grew up in Baltimore County, Md. He graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Subsequently he received a Masters degree in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University. At the time of his death he was Senior Technical Director for Symantec Corporation.
