Anthony “Tony” Ray Lawson—beloved son, devoted father, and loving partner—touched the hearts of everyone he met. From his earliest days, he carried a light that drew people near, a warmth that made others feel truly seen, and a humor that lifted spirits with ease.
Tony grew up in Laurel and Columbia, Maryland, where he attended Atholton High School, forming the friendships and foundations that shaped his generous, compassionate spirit. He later continued his education at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, Virginia, expanding his horizons and nurturing the creativity and curiosity that would guide him throughout his life.
Tony’s path led him into the food and beverage industry, where he brought joy, skill, and excellence to every endeavor—managing in-house operations with care and passion, and later sharing his knowledge in distribution. He was admired for his insight, dedication, and integrity. Wherever he went, Tony left people feeling welcomed, valued, and inspired.
Above all, Tony cherished his family. He is survived by his daughter, Payton Lawson; his mother, Carol Fisher; his father, Jerome Fisher; and his devoted partner, Meghan Jackson. He is also remembered with love by his sisters Nicci Coffie and Denette Fisher, his brother-in-law Joe Coffie, and a wide circle of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who adored him.
