Bertie Kiser

Bertie Kiser was born March 9, 1908 and died January 5, 2011 at the age of 102. She was the daughter of Floyd and Martha Deel of Prater, Virginia. She was married to Tyra Montague Kiser, son of Fullen and Catherine Kiser of Colley, Virginia on March 26, 1927. To this union were born five children: Glenna Gray of Pasadena, Maryland; Gary Kiser of Largo, Florida; Tyree Kiser of Star, Idaho; Clara Eanes of Roanoke, Virginia; and Lynda Silva of Glenelg, Maryland. Also survives by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Bertie Kiser came to Williamson, a new bride at the age of 19 and enjoyed a happy life as a wife, mother and a homemaker for her wonderful husband and children for forty-one years, three months, and six days when her loving companion "Monty" was called to his heavenly home.

She was converted to Christ, baptized and joined the Salem Regular Baptist Church at Goody, Kentucky on August 5, 1945 along wit her husband, and daughter Glenna. She was baptized by Elder Harrison Bevins who was her pastor.

Family receive friends at Witzke Funeral Homes, Inc., 5555 Twin Knolls Rd., Columbia, MD 21045 on Friday from 4 to 6 p.m., where a service will be held at 6 p.m.
