Charles "Buddy" Joseph Novak Sr.

He attended Southern High School. He was a radio operator in the United States Navy and worked as a supervisor and systems analyst at Social Security.

His most enjoyable pastime was sitting with his special dog, Tobi. He enjoyed scratch-off’s, playing Pinochle and Skip-Bo with family, country dancing and golf. He was also a member of Just Country and The Country Pride Dancers.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Rose Constance Muffoletto Novak, daughter Theresa “Terry” Whalen and husband Mark, son Charles “Chuck” Jr and wife Peggy and son Anthony “Tony” and wife Carole, grandson Jude Michael and fiancé Christiana Ciotola, brother David Novak and nephew Michael Novak and wife Renee and numerous family and friends. He was predeceased in death by parents, Leo and Louise, sisters Helen and Catherine, brother Leo, and grandson Chad Ryan.

Memorial Mass will be held at St John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Interfaith Center, 10431 Twin Rivers Road, Columbia, MD 21044 at noon on July 31st. A luncheon will be served immediately following the service at Witzke Funeral Homes, Inc. 5555 Twin Knolls Road, Columbia, MD 21045.

Memorial donations may be made in Buddy’s name to St John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church.
