Her mother Joan recalls that at the age of 6, Chris would go with her to her younger twin sisters’ appointments to the Pediatrician. Christine would hold and care for one of her younger sister's in the waiting room while other children of the same age played with toys.
Chris spent her teenage years in Plainfield, NJ where she met her lifelong friends, Nancy Warner and William Tucker, who would later marry.
Chris graduated from Plainfield, High School in 1980. Chris then fulfilled her dream of attending college at Florida International University in her favorite city of Miami, FL. She graduated with a BA in Hospitality Management in 1986.

During this time, Chris met her future husband Jose Felder who also worked in management at the Mayflower Hotel. Her close friends, Nancy and William Tucker, followed her down to Maryland from New Jersey and also bought homes. They were followed by Chris's youngest sister, Laura Hochreiner, who with Nancy and William Tucker established a small community of friendship, love, and support.
In 1992 Chris's began to divide her time between Maryland and New Jersey to care for her beloved father who would eventually pass away in 1997.
Chris and Jose became the parents of two beautiful children, Kimberly and CJ. Chris focused her time on raising her children. She became known as "Mom" to her children's friends. In Summer Chris's house became known as "Camp Chris" to her children's friends and to her sister Laura's children Max and Kyle. Camp Chris became the place to go for fun, food, good times, and love.
Chris loved the beach. Her family will cherish forever fond memories of their annual week long vacations at the Maryland shore.
When her children became older, Chris found employment working as a Court Clerk for the Howard County Circuit Court where she worked until her retirement in May of 2017.
