I met Dan through his roommate in college at Portland State in 1976. Even though he was a wrestler.... we hit it off right away and became good friends. I can't begin to share or tell all of the things we did in our travels around the world. We probably lived 3 lives in the 40+ yrs we have known each other. He was an all time classic, enjoyed life to its fullest and would do anything for his friends and family. I miss him already and will think of him often. RIP Brother. I will see you on the other side.

I spoke to Dan in 2014 (at St.Agnes) when I had broken Welch Allen otoscopes that he was able to repair & make like new. We had many great conversations and he would tell me so many fun stories about Costa Rica, adventures he had and we would laugh for hours. I'll miss his enthusiasm. He always had so much to share and say. He had a very friendly and sociable aura about him. Many times he invited me for drinks and a good laugh. The last time was with Gary Neal & Javier Lozano at St.Joseph & I regret not being able to go that night. Sleep well Dan, until we meet again.

Too many to write in words, but I will leave you all with my favorites!!! Dan Dan the flower man... McDonalds, cruising for “hot chicks” ... feeding him our yucky vitamins that my parents would make us take but we didn’t want to! I remember this one time he got me a teddy bear that was bigger than I was! Going to grandpa Don and Grandma Fern’s House! Rides on the motercycle (sshhhhh) he was pretty cool!!! Always the uncle that teased me about boys and kissing them on the playground... gosh darn it uncle Dan... love you so so much and you will always be remembered! I wish more people were like you on earth!

Dan I met in 1972 when we showed up at Pacific University. We were teammates, roommates and above all else he was one of my best friends. I had the honor of being his best man. Dan is godfather to our oldest daughter. Before he left for Baltimore he lived with us. During our college years we manage to get into a lot of mischief. "trouble"Spent a number of hours skiing and partying at the lake. He was always up for an adventure and always willing to push the limits. I really admired his honesty when asked a question. Going to miss the phone calls and trying to decipher his hand writing.
RIP Dan I'm going to miss you.

Dan was a fellow police officer and a friend. He was truly one of a kind. A great cop who always had a smile on his face and had a keen sense of humor even in the rough times. He will missed forever..but not forgotten.

Dan and I were street partners for a time, room mates for a time, and friends. We water skied with Mike Davis with whom we owned a ski boat. We three were hired together on the Bureau. We are much diminished because of his untimely passing. Rest Easy! Fair Winds and Following Seas my Brother!
