Eric, it's hard to believe you've been gone 2 years.  You haven't been forgotten.  Kyle, mom, & I donated your savings to MSD & HCC.  People similar to you will benefit from your generosity for many years.  The last 2 years would have been very difficult for you.  Covid hasn't disappeared, Russia invaded Ukraine, schools have been mainly remote-learning.  Tomorrow is Easter Sunday, but I'll be attending mass today on the anniversary of your death.  I think about you every day.  Wear your clothes & ride your bike.  Even in death, you are making the world a better place.  It's strange, but I think you are in a better place.  Look for my dad in heaven.  He passed away last June.  He's looking for you, too.

Very few things in life came easily to you, but you always found a way.  Many were inspired by your resolve and tenacity.  The choice of career and capacity for compassion is testimony to who you grew to be.  Admired by many and loved by all, your passing has given us a greater appreciation how many and deeply your friends valued you.  Being your father was the best job I ever had.  We’ll meet again in heaven …. Maybe for a bike ride.

I was lucky to have had the pleasure of working with Eric at CSSD.    Always with a smile on his face, eager to work and help each individual.   Once you work for CSSD you become family, we look out for each other, we help each other, we care for each other....our family is now one less and we are completely saddened and heartbroken. i had the honor and privilege of getting to know eric while working at cssd. when it was time for us to switch shifts, we would grab some time to talk about life in general. whenever we had the opportunity to work together during the same shift, we would spend time chatting about various topics. he was such an interesting guy. he was so passionate about his future and always eager to discuss about life in depth. i always enjoyed chatting and laughing with him. i'm so sorry he passed away.. incredibly hard to believe.  hugs

Eric and I met in ASL class and then realized that we were actually neighbors in the Colony! We became great friends over the years, and made some amazing memories. Eric and I would go to Stacked Like Pancakes shows and dance all night, go out in Towson for a tequila sunrise at the Turtle, and spend hours talking about some of the deepest, most philosophical topics. Eric, you were one of my closest friends through college, and I am thankful for the time we spent together. I love ya buddy 💕

Eric was such a good person, From the time I met him and we’d hang out every day to the year where we’d occasionally see at the bars. He was always in a good mood and always read to lend a helping hand. I’m going to miss the memories we shared at 654 and always hold you close to my heart. You were taken way too soon. My condolences go out to your parents and family and friends. I’m gonna miss you big guy. 

So deeply sorry for your loss Clare and Brian.  I've had to imagine this scenario with two friends having lost their children (21 and 27), so am present to the grief.  Hoping that the 3 of you and the rest of your family find solace in each other and in the memories you hold of this sweet guy.  I met him many years ago, and hold your loss close to my heart.  

I am truly sorry for your loss. Eric was a good friend and study partner and co-worker. I’ve been trying to think of what to say and how to say it but all I can think of is how sorry I am and how much he will be missed. Eric - may your soul Rest In Peace..I’ll miss you.

I had the pleasure of working alongside Eric at CSSD Senior Center everyday for 7 months just he and I. We bonded so much  to the point we joked about him being “ my brother from another color”. He was such a helpful, always going above and beyond, bubbly, kind guy, extremely smart too.  He knew so much about every topic brought up to him.  He always had my back even when I felt he shouldn’t have. It still feels unreal, he should be here enjoying his black coffee reading a book on his tablet, or dropping off the blind consumers and greeting me with a big “ hey friend!” I’m going to miss you Eric, my brother from another color. Til we meet again. 

Eric and I worked together at Cssd , I cannot ask for a better co-worker! Eric knew sign language  that’s what made it easy for us to become close, as I’m deaf also. Mrs Clare and Mr.  Brain, thank you for bringing such a wonderful, caring and helpful young man into this world where it was made possible for us to meet and share the wonderful fun times we had.  I told Eric I couldn’t wait for him to return to work so we could carry on!....now I have to wait longer till we can see each other again to carry on..., I’m missing you Eric, rest in paradise my friend!.........,Antoinette 

Eric was very charismatic and enthusiastic. His smile lit up a room. He could engage you in a conversation with ease. He was such a pleasure to talk with. I met Eric for the first time at CSSD (Senior Center). We talked as though we knew each other for years. I loved his passion to care for others and music . My heart was sadden when I heard of Eric's passing. I will always remember his smile and the joy in his heart when he talked about things he loved doing. I am so sorry for your loss. You are in my prayers. I pray that God's Peace and Strength fill your hearts doing this time. Please know that Eric is very much loved .

Eric and I met my sophomore year of college in 2015 and we immediately became friends. We had so many great memories having amazing talks about life, what we wanted to do in the future, music. These conversations would always last hours, we could never run out of things to talk about. I admired Eric's passion for helping others and bike riding. I will never forget all of our fun nights going out to Towson, Baltimore, and Old Ellicot City and introducing me to all of your incredible friends you grew up with.  You were always there for me through my ups and downs; whether it was coming to my band's shows or letting me vent about personal setbacks. Post-college, Eric and I stayed in touch and we would hang out and catch-up like no time has passed at all. Eric had such an incredible heart and I will forever cherish all of the memories we had together.

Eric and I became friends immediately as we were roommates at Towson in 2015-2016. I will forever cherish our memories staying up late talking about life and music. I loved how passionate Eric was about his major and helping others. He was kind hearted and was always there for me through my ups and downs, whether it was coming to see my band’s shows to venting about personal hardships going on in my life. Post-college I am beyond grateful to have made amazing memories catching up and always having a good time. 

I miss you so much Eric and I will always treasure all of the amazing memories I have with you. I hope you are at peace ❤️  

I have had the privilege of knowing Eric since Freshman year of college. We both met while running cross country together for 2 years at Howard CC.  Later our paths crossed again at Towson University where we ended up being roommates for the 2016-2017 school year. Those were by far some of my favorite times in recent memory.

Some of the fondest memories I have with him include our many countryside bike rides as well as competing in a team Duathlon in 2015 under the team name “dragon wagon express”. (Couldn’t let go of that HCC legacy)

In the years after we both graduated from Towson, we still stayed fairly close, continuing our regular hikes and bike rides.  We attended several concerts together, including Modest Mouse with his brother Kyle, as well as seeing Cage the Elephant live this past Summer at Merriweather. We got caught in a really bad storm and somehow managed to sneak into the VIP section just in time for the headliner.

Eric, I will truly miss our many intellectual discussions with David B. on our weekly hikes. You were a great friend, teammate, roommate, and always there for me in the past 7 years we have known each other, and I will never forget that.

I was really shocked at the news of Eric passing away, it still looks unreal to me because I can still remember his smiling face as he comes in to work when he was working at the Senior Center.  He seem to love his job too.   All I can say is that God will comfort his family and give them the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.  May his soul rest in peace.

I cannot believe Eric is gone. He was my friend from college and we had Deaf Studies classes together. He always kept me practicing sign language every time we went out together, both when we were in school and after we graduated. 

I think back to when we got lost in Washington D.C. after visiting Gallaudet, having you meet my family, always standing up for me, talking politics, meeting Sean Berdy, helping each other move, celebrating each other's birthday's, and constantly sending each other funny videos. 

I'll miss you Eric. Rest in Peace.

I had the privilege to have him for roommate while in Ocean City for several days.  I also enjoyed having him in my Day Service Program at Community Support Services for the Deaf.  He was learning about our program and unfortunately it was for very short time and we missed him.   

Eric was my buddy for cycling. I first met him at Race Pace shop many years ago.  He helped me with cycling things.  

After he joined CSSD, I was shocked.  We started to chat about cycling stuff all the times.   Other staff tried to stop us but we kept moving around when we continued chatting.  😃   

We shared our memories about our cycling experiences.    Also, we rode bike together.  

Eric was in my Pre-Interpreting class at CCBC. We were all shocked and upset to hear the news of his passing. He will be remembered as a funny guy and an energetic signer. I did not personally know him well, but it was obvious he was a very passionate person. He will truly be missed. Love and peace to his family.

I am deeply saddened by the news. He was great with clients and seem to be a cool guy from times that I had to work with him. My condolences to his family and may he Rest In Peace. 

I’m so sorry for ur loss. My prayers are on the way to u and ur families. I just learned that Eric just passed away when I was at work CSSD today. It’s hard to believe this. He is awesome,  a lot energy  and funny guy. Whenever I see him and automatically toward to him and catch up chats with him. I’m sorely missed him and will always to remember him.
