On December 28, 2019, James Russell Hyde passed away. Loving father of Janice Hyde and her husband James Wozny. Grandfather of Sophia Wozny. Brother of Ann Bornstein and husband Jon Bornstein. Also survived by three nieces and several grand nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Joan, and son Jeffrey.
He graduated from Niagara Falls High School and attended Cortland State College and Syracuse University. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and proudly served on several naval ships during the Korean War. He retired after a 35-year career at IBM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to local posts of the VFW or to Post 1371 Glenn A. Warner Post, Owego, NY.
