

Larry graduated from Morgan State University in 1964, where he met the love of his life, Regina Montague. The two were married in 1968 and built a life centered on love, family, and shared experiences. Together they raised two sons, Lawrence Jr. of Irvine, California, and Todd of Bethesda, Maryland.
In 1976, Larry moved his family to Columbia, Maryland, where he became a familiar presence in the community. Larry was a fixture at the Columbia Athletic Club and could often be found on the tennis courts throughout Columbia, enjoying the game he loved and the friendships he formed along the way.
Larry dedicated 42 years of service to the Social Security Administration before retiring in 2008. His commitment, professionalism, and steady presence left a lasting impression on colleagues and all who knew him.
Larry is survived by his wife Regina, son’s Larry Jr. and Todd, daughter-in-laws Barbara and India, grandchildren Justin, Ryan, Mia, and Emma, sister, Raven Valentine, sister-in-law, Brenda Darrell, niece, Maureen McLain, nephews, Eric Peck, Dennis Williams, Gilford Williams, and a host of other relatives and friends. The family will miss Larry deeply, because he truly was the coolest man on Earth.
