Charlotte - I have just learned of Marvin's passing, I'm so very sorry for your loss.  Marvin was always such a pleasant man.  I can only imagine the sadness you feel.  My deepest sympathies to you and your family.

No matter how bad I might have felt, I always felt happy after being with him.  We and the "Board of Directors" had many a laugh together at the board meetings.

I adored this man from the first moment I met him... and who could blame me!?  I am so grateful for the times we had with him.  He was truly a one-of-a-kind and we miss him so much already.  I can't even express the sorrow we feel by losing him and I will cherish every memory for the rest of my life.

Always a smile and a kind word from Marvin. He will be missed. Blessings to the Cottrell family.

Marvin was quite a gentleman with a wonderful sense of humor.  It was a pleasure working with him during our years at APL.  I'm sure he will be greatly missed by his family and everyone who knew him.

We are so sorry you and Marvin did not get a chance to get back to Michigan to visit with us again. Marvin and I enjoyed setting on the deck with our morning coffee and watching the fish jump in the lake. Both Vivian and I are sorry we are unable to get to the visitation or funeral service. We are currently in Florida.

For several decades, Marvin provided senior leadership to the Administrative Services Department of the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. He was always cheerful, helpful, and exceedingly capable. He made work fun by his always pleasant demeanor. We are fortunate to have had the opportunity to know Marvin, for he made our lives richer. We will miss him. Our prayers go out to his wife Charlotte, his family, relatives, and friends.

I am so saddened to hear of Marvin's passing.  Charlotte and Marvin have always been so kind to me and I loved working with both of them.  We often joked about escaping from Harlan County, KY.  Marvin you have definitely escaped Harlan and I'm sure you are enjoying Paradise.

I often heard Becky speak about Marvin and felt that I knew him most of my life. He and Charlotte made a cute couple. I know he will be missed and we share in your greiving.
