Ora Odessa Harris

Ora Odessa Harris, daughter of the late Willie Elnora Nollie, Smothers, Johnson, Smith and Alonzo Saddlewhite Johnson was born August 26, 1941 in Baltimore, Maryland. She departed this life July 30, 2013. She attended Baltimore Public Schools.

Odessa was nurtured in a home and began to know Christ at an early age. She attended First Baptist Church of Guilford.

On April 5, 1958 she married Ernest Harris and from that union was blessed with three daughters. Ms. Wanda Pandora Harris, Ms. Carmeletta Theresa Harris and Ms. Nataska Unitha Walters.

She was well known for her congenial personality and was affectionately known as “Oddie.” Odessa had a deep passion and love for her family, especially her grandchildren. Her Hobbies included interior decorating, shopping and traveling.

She leaves to mourn: her loving three daughters, three grandchildren, Alonzo Saddlewhite Raymond Jackson II, Marcus Anwar Ironhorse Jackson and wife Gardenia Catriona, Suncerae Morgan Walters. Four brothers and one sister, Louis Smothers, John Smothers, James Smothers, Richard Smothers, and Lorraine Carmen; sister in-laws and brother in-law and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
