A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, February 21st at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Columbia at 11:00 am.
Dr. Lising was born on June 1, 1947 in Manila, Philippines. He graduated from medical school in 1972, completing medical training at Rusk Rehabilitation Center. He opened a private practice in 1987 at Boone Hospital Center, working there until his retirement in December 2010. He enjoyed flying RC airplanes and helicopters, traveling with his family, and photographing every important event in life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Florino and Nieva Lising. Survivors include his wife, Dr. Delia Matias, also retired from practice; children: Michael Lising, Melanie Lising, and Melissa Lising-Register; son-in-law, Rick Register; daughter-in-law, Danielle Eldred-Lising; and grandchildren: Alexandre Lising and Olin Register.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Parish.
