Anderson (Danny) Reed Whittington Peebles Jr. 1951-2017 A graveside memorial service celebrating the life of Anderson (Danny) Reed Whittington Peebles Jr. will be held Saturday, March 4th at the Greenwood Cemetery in Shreveport, LA at noon. He passed following a sudden illness Saturday, January 21, 2017, at his home in Columbia, MO. He was born January 13, 1951 in Shreveport, LA to Dorothy and Anderson Reed Peebles, Sr. A graduate of Louisiana Tech University in 1971, Anderson was born with a love of music in his heart and was at the forefront of the local music scene everywhere he lived. From LA to NM to TX to CO and finally MO, nothing surpassed his passion for music in all its many forms. In 2002, he recorded his first and only CD with his band, Blue Baby & Hired Guns, with his dear friend, Debra Hardin, called Angels With No Faces. Second only to music, was his love of antiquing. He loved to tell stories of his new acquisitions, which all seemed to have a unique story or some historical importance. From the musically inspired pieces to the unusual, he left behind a treasure trove of his adventures. He retired after many years work from Boone County with a medical disability. Anderson (Danny) was preceded in death by his father, Anderson Reed Peebles, Sr., his stepfather, Wilbur Lee Whittington, and his mother, Dorothy Lester Peebles Whittington. Those left to celebrate his memory are his sons, Jesse Clyde Whittington and Jacob Reed Whittington and wife, Kara, and most precious granddaughter, Reed Elizabeth Whittington. He also left behind sisters, Connie Lerchie, Cindy Whittington, and Carol Rochelle and husband, Greg. He is also survived by uncles, Charlie Lester and wife, Mary Elizabeth, and Robert Lester and wife, Patricia, along with numerous nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Duke.
