

Ann Peters, 64, of Columbia, MO passed away Monday, December 23, 2024, at her home. A celebration of her life will be at 11am, Friday, January 3, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home 1217 Business Loop 70 West Columbia, MO with urn burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may gather at the funeral home from 10-11am before the service.
Ann was born in Columbia, MO on December 1, 1960, one of four children to Elroy J. and Kathryn Cybulski Peters. She was a 1979 graduate of Callaway North High School and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Stephens College in 1984. She lived her life to the fullest, not staying to tied to one thing for too long. She was a partner in a pipet calibration company, snowplow operator for MODOT, Motorcycle Safety Instructor for Harley Davidson, to Verma-culturalist. She was a private pilot that owned her own plane and engaged in local government, serving on the Columbia Planning and Zoning Commission for 6 years. She was an expert at growing Heritage tomatoes, using her worms to create the rich soil for her garden. She also grew beautiful flowers and cared dearly for her pets.
She is survived by her siblings, Elizabeth Peters and Matthew (Dawn) Peters of Columbia; nephews, Nicholas (Abigail) Peters, Benjamin (Amber) Peters, Timothy Peters, and Patrick (Melissa) Peters; a niece, Katie (Steven) Mashburn; great nephews, Colin Peters & Logan Mashburn. She was preceded in death by a brother, James Mark Peters and her parents.
