

Bob Minnick, 92 of Columbia passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024 at home with family at his side. A Graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Born, Bobby Ray Minnick, on February 14, 1932 in Lock Springs, Missouri the son of Elbert Ragan Minnick and Ercel Ilene Kidwell Minnick. He served his country in the US Army and upon returning from service was united in marriage to Wanda Seidel on April 4, 1954. They moved to Columbia so Bob could attend the University of Missouri on the GI Bill. He earned his degree in accounting and that led to a successful career at Shelter Insurance. He retired after forty years of service at Shelter.
Bob was a member of the Masonic Lodge, served on the board with the Salvation Army and was a member of the Country Club of Missouri. He was an avid fan of Mizzou sports, holding season tickets for many years. He also faithfully cheered on the St. Louis Cardinals and the Kansas City Chiefs. In his younger years he was a pitcher on fast pitch softball team and later he took up golf and this sport gave him much satisfaction and some frustration at times.
Bob is survived by his children: Debbie Wenger of Columbia; Denise (Mike) Bartolacci of St. Louis; one sister: Nancy (Jim) Pickett; his grandchildren: Chad Wenger; Justin (Danielle) Wenger; Michelle Bartolacci; Jessica (Jeff) Ponder; Julia (Luke) Moore; great grandchildren: Aiden Bishop; Faith Bishop; Shea Ponder; Elle Wenger; Millie Wenger; Layla Moore and a host of nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; three brothers: Bill; Max; Jerry; and one son-in-law: Craig Wenger.
Memorials may be made to the Food Bank of Central and Northern Missouri in care of the funeral home.
