

Bobby Taylor, 78, of Columbia, MO passed away, Saturday, November 5, 2016 at the Harry S. Truman Veteran Hospital. Graveside services will be 12:00 PM, Saturday, November 12, 2016 in Memorial Park Cemetery 1217 Business Loop 7 West, Columbia, MO. Friends may gather Saturday from 11am until 12 at Memorial Funeral Home.
Bobby was born June 18, 1938 to Bill and Edith (Ballard) Taylor in Rives, MO. On April 24, 1959, he married Delores (Dee) Gratton in San Jose, California. Bobby spent three years in the US Navy, before starting a long career as a Police officer. He worked as a Lieutenant in the Henderson, Nevada Police department in the K-9 unit; where he trained his own dog, VonDirk. He continued his career as a policeman in the Columbia Police Department. He was also a member of the Civil air patrol as a pilot for several years in Columbia.
He is survived by his wife Dee; children: Cheree (Michael) Kozicki of Placentia, CA, Don (Robin) Taylor of Memphis, MI and Nadine Lewis of Columbia, MO; siblings: Jerry Shoate of Las Vegas, NV, Peggy Konald of Whitehall, MT, and Pat Anderjack of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren: Stacy (Josh) Kueng, Mikey (Danielle) Kozicki, Christopher Kozicki, Ashley (Randy) Fletcher, Kara (Steve) DeVlaminck, Jeremy Lewis & Dani Hyde, Grace Lewis & fiancée Tyler Reed, and Taylor Upchurch; great grandchildren: Avery & Brooklyn Kozicki, Peyton & Nash Kueng, and Olivia Lewis. He was preceded in death by his father Bill Taylor, mother Edith Shoate, brother Billy E. Taylor, and son-in-law David Lewis.
