

Services will be Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at William Wood Funeral Home, Boonville, Missouri Visitation 12 – 1 PM and a Funeral Service at 1 PM. Burial will be in Laclede Cemetery, Laclede, Missouri.
Cliff was born on August 22, 1940, in Brookfield, Missouri the son of Lee Clark Ritchey and Lucile Farrar Ritchey. His father was a farmer and a furniture maker. Cliff's mother was a schoolteacher and inspired in him a great love of books and learning. After graduating from Brookfield High in 1958, Cliff went to the Draughon School of Business in Kansas City, Missouri where he met artist Charles Stegner while they both studied drafting. Cliff and Charles had many common interests and roomed together until Cliff met the love of his life and made his own nest. On July 22 of 1978 Cliff was united in marriage to Violet R Harrison (Vita) who preceded him in death in 1992. Vita was born in England to theatrical parents.
Cliff worked as a medical librarian at Research Hospital to get through school and later became a draftsman for the Army Corps of Engineers until retirement. He enjoyed classical music, art and antiques. He was a collector of books and stamps and loved the illustrations of Arthur Rackham. He and his wife enjoyed vacationing on cruise ships and traveling the world. He took pride in his home, garden and yard. Cliff was known for keeping in touch with his friends through Christmas Cards and frequent letters.
Cliff is survived by one niece: Nina (Mike) Chute of Powell, Wyoming; one nephew: Clay (Suzanne) Turner of Pleasant Hill, Missouri and life-long friends: Charles Stegner and Holly Hughes. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife and one sister: Norma Gladys (Ritchey) Turner.
