

Darrin Micheal Denbow December 8, 1974 – December 16, 2014 Darrin was born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, the son of Micheal and Sandra Sifford Denbow. He joined a brother, Devlin. Darrin attended elementary school in Mtn. Grove, MO. Darrin was baptized at Trinity Methodist Church. Later the family moved to Centralia, MO where Darrin joined the United Methodist Church. At Centralia High School, Darrin was very active in basketball, football and track. His senior year he was named Football Most Outstanding Player and was nominated to the MO All-State team. He had a resonant singing voice and was an active member of choral activities, plus playing a little guitar and singing pop songs with a band. Darrin and his friends were known for finding entertainment and fun wherever they gathered and he was always loyal to protect those friendships. After graduation, Darrin attended Arkansas State University where he was a defensive end on the football team. The team traveled to many interesting cities and Darrin forged strong camaraderie among the sportsmen. He sustained some injuries along the way from encountering big bruisers on the line, but he loved the game of football and could always be counted on to support the team and to follow through with his duties. After college, Darrin tried a variety of jobs, but found that his passion was in business development. He realized that he had a knack for numbers and was a whiz at creating solutions for growing investments. Darrin and his dad Mike opened 1st Met Mortgage in Columbia where they ran a successful business for several years. Darrin also was involved in real estate investing and property development. Later, Darrin served as President of his own company, ADM Group, which continued to provide business growth opportunities. Some of the most important things that people noticed about Darrin were his big personality, his infectious smile, and his handsome appearance. He could light up a room when he walked in and it was said that he never met a stranger. He had the talent to make each person feel important and valued. Darrin could be counted on for his faithfulness to friends and his loving respect for his family. Darrin enjoyed having a flashy car to drive and a beautiful woman to accompany him. Although he never married, he was fortunate to have found fulfilling love in his life. Darrin is survived by his parents, Mike and Sandra Denbow; a brother, Devlin Denbow; and his grandfather, George W. Sifford. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Norma Sifford, Dortha Denbow, and P.C. Denbow. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 21 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home of Columbia. The funeral will be held at Morgan Sifford Funeral Home in Puxico, MO on Monday, December 22 at 12:00 pm, with a visitation two hours prior to service. Interment in Puxico Cemetery will follow.
