Dolores was born on September 9, 1952 in Milwaukee, WI. She graduated from Hickman High School and later attended Columbia College to study art. She married the love of her life, William David Stone, on June 23, 1979 and had two children, Megan and Shane Stone.
Dolores spent 21 years of her career working for State Farm, but most recently worked at Casey’s in Hallsville where she was lovingly referred to by the community as the “Pizza Master.” At Casey’s, and in her life, nobody was ever a stranger to her, she embraced everyone. Dolores’ trademark characteristic was her big heart. She was always ready and willing to help anyone in need.
In addition to raising her two children, Dolores had many interests. She absolutely loved animals, but especially chihuahuas, over her lifetime, she raised and showed over a dozen. She adored flowers of every kind and gardening. She especially loved the angel wing begonia. She was also a very skilled photographer, entering and placing in many photography competitions. But one thing Dolores claimed to hate, was shopping! Although she did it quite often, especially to spoil her granddaughter, Laney.
Dolores is survived by her husband, William David Stone; their children, Megan Stone, and Shane (Lacy) Stone; granddaughter, Laney Stone; her siblings, Joseph (Lauri) Crouch, Leroy (Lorrie) Damian, Carlos Damian, Trinidad (Julie) Damian Jr, Ruben (Brenda) Damian, and Elaine (Ron) Damian-Salazar; an aunt, Ramona Holst; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents, Connie Estrada-Crouch and Trinidad Damian Sr; and one sister, Connie Damian.
Memorials in Dolores’ honor may be made to Laney’s College Fund in care of the funeral home.
