Donald Dean Griffith

Celebration of Life will be on March 30, 2019 from 12:00 pm – 3:00pm at Columbia Senior Center, 1121 Business Loop 70 East, Columbia, MO.

Don was born on July 14, 1932 in Mexico, MO the son of Marvin and Olinda (Mueller) Griffith who preceded him in death. He was a veteran of the US Air Force serving during the Korean Conflict. He was married on May 22, 1959 in Mexico, MO to Betty Davis who preceded him in death on May 5, 2010. Don worked for Shelter Insurance Company in Columbia, MO from 1959 until his retirement in 1995 as an Auto Underwriter.

Survivors include: two children, Donna Loyd of Columbia, MO and Michael Griffith (Jennifer) of Columbia, MO; two sisters, JoAnn Bishop (Don) of Mexico, MO and Nancy Roe (John) of Mexico, MO; five grandchildren, Justin Loyd, Matthew Griffith, Rachel Griffith, Allison Griffith and Caroline Griffith and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Marvin Griffith and two sisters, Patricia Brown and Doris Bates.
